2024 Review – A Look Back at Our Milestone Moments

December 17, 2024

We love this time of the year. The holidays give us a chance to unwind and spend quality time with friends and family. Turning our calendars to 2025 makes us feel hopeful about the promise, potential, and possibilities of a new year. But before we give 2025 our full attention, we want to revisit some of our favorite 2024 community moments.

Our Favorite Kind of Trial

We’re avid supporters of mock trial teams and competitions throughout our region. Several lawyers on our staff got their first introduction to law at these special events. In March, a few of our attorneys were involved with the District Mock Trial Competition at the Henry County Judicial Center. In addition to various associates and partners volunteering as judges, Megan Rittle (Partner) served as Regional Coordinator and was instrumental in making these competitions happen. Susana Gude-Rodriquez (Associate) also coached one of our local Henry County teams.

Thanks to Megan, Susana, and everyone else who volunteered for all you do for our firm and for the aspiring future attorneys in our region!

Real Estate Teams Rack Up Awards

We have always touted the all-star talents of our real estate teams, but it is a true honor when our talents and efforts are recognized by others. In April, all three of our real estate offices were honored with the Premiere Agent Award from the Old Republic Title Insurance Company. The annual award recognizes outstanding customer service, professionalism, and integrity in real estate transactions. This was the sixth consecutive win for our McDonough office, and we’re thrilled to see the hard work our teams put into serving our get noticed.

Congratulations to everyone on our real estate teams. Let’s keep the streak going in 2025!

John Webb Adds “Mystery Reader” to Resume

As a managing partner for our firm, John Webb puts the “Webb” into Smith, Welch, Webb & White. He’s a certified mediator, an experienced litigator of more than 100 trials, and serves as a team leader for our personal injury division – Southside Injury Attorneys. In spring, John added the esteemed title of “Mystery Reader” to his impressive resume. John led class story time for his wife’s kindergarten class at Ola Elementary.

Thanks for being a role model and pillar of our firm, John! And please share any story recommendations with us.

Law “Fore” Life

Any day spent on the golf course is a good day and any time spent on the golf course in service of a noble cause is a great day. In September, we hit the links at Heron Bay Golf & Country Club for the 24th Annual Henry Country Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic. Brooke White (Associate Attorney), Connie Collins (Client Relations), Caitlyn Smith (Law Clerk), and Megan Rittle (Partner) represented our firm as Silver Sponsors of the tournament, while John Webb (Managing Partner) and Will White (Managing Partner) competed.

We’re longtime supporters of the Henry Country Chamber of Commerce and look forward to their events in 2025.

We hope you all have a safe, happy, and healthy New Year!
