Amy Fletcher joined Smith, Welch, Webb & White, LLC in 2020, after spending almost eight years practicing law and three years as an auditor with firms in Macon, Georgia. Her primary areas of practice include taxation, corporation/business organizations, trusts, probate, and estate planning. Amy graduated magna cum laude from Wesleyan College in 2006 with a degree in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration. Her Wesleyan honors thesis, “Benford’s Law [of Physics] as an Auditing Tool”, led her first to a career as an auditor, where she earned her license as a Certified Public Accountant. She went on to receive her J.D. degree from the Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in 2012 and her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama in 2013.
Ms. Fletcher lives in Jackson, Georgia, where she has deep roots, including a family farm that has been in her family since the early 1800s. She is passionate about her hometown community and is quick to volunteer wherever she sees a need. Most of her free time is spent working on remodeling projects around her home, spending time with her six nieces, and hunting with her family. She loves that she’s been called an “over-educated farm kid” by other attorneys.
