Elizabeth O’Neal is a partner with the firm and is experienced in a wide array of family law matters, including adoption, divorce, child custody, child support, modification of custody, visitation, and legitimation, and contempt, as well as juvenile law, probate, and general civil litigation. She works to develop meaningful relationships with her clients and opposing counsel and believes that a calm and reasonable approach to the practice of law is essential to successful resolution of her cases. In addition to her private clients, Elizabeth serves as the Assistant Solicitor in Griffin Municipal Court and as a Court Appointed Attorney for the Towaliga Circuit Juvenile Courts.
Elizabeth is actively involved in the State Bar of Georgia and currently serves on the Finance Committee, State Disciplinary Board, and Long-Range Planning and Bar Governance Committee. She was previously active with the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division, having served as the Chairperson for the Signature Fundraiser and as Co-Chair for its Leadership Academy. She is also an active member of the Henry County Bar Association and previously served as its Treasurer, Vice President, and President. She has also received multiple honors from the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyer’s Division, including the Award of Achievement for Outstanding Service to the Public and the Award Achievement for Outstanding Service to the YLD. She was also named a “Top Attorney” by Southern Journal Magazine. Elizabeth is located in the Griffin office.
Trial Experience
Elizabeth has experience litigating in multiple counties across Georgia including; Bibb, Butts, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Heard, Henry, Houston, Jasper, Lamar, Monroe, Newton, Pike, Rockdale, Spalding, and Upson. She has had effective results in mediating numerous family law matters in these counties, as well. Elizabeth has effectively tried hundreds of bench trials, motion hearings, and other litigation matters, including jury trials. She has handled varying types of litigation matters, including family law, adoption, criminal law, civil litigation, juvenile law, and personal injury law. She is a Court Appointed Attorney for the Towaliga Circuit Juvenile Court.
